Anticipation. Trepidation. Fear of the unknown. Istanbul is not as scary as we are lead to believe, here you'll find fish markets, ancient spice bazaar and restaurants catering to traditional and modern tastes are abundant in this vibrant and exciting city. This city in Turkey sits over two continents, Asia and Europe.

Let's get the criticism out the way. Hotel was hard to hard and our taxi driver was getting frustrated too, especially as he couldn't speak English.
We loved this hotel especially being upgraded and the balcony views we had. Very central and in a good location of the Boyoglu district- the manager - Alli of the hotel was great, very helpful, as were all staff members. All very polite.
The restaurant attached to the hotel was great too and even better with 20% off the food bill. Breakfast was ok too and no complaints there.
We walked everywhere so we could explore the city better. The city is very very busy indeed but doesn't stop you getting about. Enjoyed all aspects of the sightseeing and managed to see all we wanted in the 3 days we were there. Even the boat trip was in this.
Highlight was our meal at Topaz restaurant which was fantastic!
All in all a good trip!

This restaurant was fantastic with amazing views of the city. the food was great and very well presented. The staff were very courteous. Wine far too expensive but with the ambience of the views it is worth it.
